Getting ready for school

It’s easier for parents whose children are already studying. They have an idea of the required items. But first-graders are just about to plunge into the world of forms and stationery. Where should you focus your attention and how not to buy useless things?
Before the start of the school year, teachers often hold meetings. You should listen carefully and take notes after the teacher. He will tell you what you need to buy, what backpacks are best to buy, and what to refuse. Basically, the list for first-graders is standard, although it may vary depending on the preferences of the educational institution and the teacher in particular.
Clothes and shoes
It is necessary to clarify what color uniform the school prefers. The fabric must be natural. Synthetic fibers do not breathe, and with the arrival of cold weather the child will freeze. You should buy things to grow a little, but no more than 1 cm. In addition, you will need white knee socks, socks, ties or bow ties, at least 2 shirts and blouses. With the change of season, you will have to change the shape of your clothing. Fleece-insulated pants, leggings, and terry tights are suitable. And for physical education you need to have a suit and several T-shirts.
As for shoes, they must be comfortable and made in accordance with all the rules of orthopedics – naturalness, a special insole, arch support, a rigid heel, a Thomas ledge. Sports shoes must also support the ankle to avoid injuries and sprains.
Stationery and other school supplies
It is better to pay enough attention to the backpack. After all, the student’s posture depends on its quality and the right choice. Do not buy backpacks weighed down with all sorts of accessories. After all, the baby will also have to carry books, notebooks, folders, etc. The back of the briefcase should be orthopedic and fit the child tightly, the straps should be wide and durable. It’s great if the backpack has 2 or more compartments. This makes it easier to distribute accessories and quickly find what you need. You should also purchase a special bag for sports items.
Since teaching policies differ in different schools, at parent-teacher meetings on the eve of the school year, teachers make lists of stationery and hand them to moms and dads. But in most cases they look something like this:
- pencil case;
- 2, different in hardness, simple pencils;
- sharpener (battery-powered sharpeners have recently appeared; it will be easier for kids to sharpen a broken pencil with one press of a button);
- 10 notebooks each, both diagonally lined and squared;
- covers;
- a set of covers for textbooks;
- a folder for workbooks (scissors, glue, eraser, ruler);
- modeling clay with a board and a special knife;
- a set of colored paper and cardboard;
- a sketchbook;
- watercolor paints;
- 3 brushes of different sizes;
- a cup for water for drawing;
- a set of colored pencils and markers;
- a notebook folder;
- a diary;
- gel, ballpoint, or ink pens.
This is a rough outline of everything you need to start the school year. You can use it as a guide, but it’s still best to clarify some details and nuances with the parent-teacher committee or teacher, and off you go, knowledge and excellent grades!
