1C Yesterday and Today, or Who is a 1C Consulting Specialist?

I’d like to share my experience working with 1C as a chief accountant and then as a consulting specialist. I remember how nervous I was when the accountants were switching from version 6 to version 7. This was a transition from creating independent entries to creating documents with strictly adjusted entries.

With the advent of 1C:Enterprise 8, the situation changed dramatically, and comparing version 8 with version 7, I’m tempted to praise the program’s versatility, flexibility, and customizability. Today, the 1C platform is a powerful software product comparable to leading global information systems.

It no longer has rigid connections and wires. Business processes can now be automated. Management accounting, however, is no longer possible—it’s necessary. Standard functionality can solve most tasks for accountants and directors.

The most common version is 1C: Enterprise Accounting 8, plus a huge number of industry-specific and specialized solutions.

To properly implement and integrate these solutions, our specialists must understand how typical functions work, be familiar with budget accounting at the chief accountant level, and constantly monitor both program changes and legislative changes.

If the “primary” is entered correctly, the program is updated in a timely manner and “oh, miracle!” — The program itself is according to the law, i. e. generates all correctly regulated reports. Calculate taxes correctly!

In addition, if the program generates a report, the director can make sure that when changing accountants, the information is preserved, which allows the next accountant to continue working calmly. And the tax audit will not take you by surprise.

Do you think one specialist (competently and at a high level) can program and know the functioning of many standard functions? What about the basics of the company’s business processes with varying levels of detail? What are the features of the company’s regulatory accounting?

All this knowledge is necessary for the full operation of the program.
